The 2012 Erba Proprietary White Wine is sourced from multiple vineyard sources including the Tofanelli vineyard in Calistoga with most of the grapes from over 50 year old vines. It is our Chauteau Haut Brion inspired blend of 2/3 Semillon and 1/3 Sauvignon Blanc. The wine exhibits white floral and grassy notes, followed by flavors of citrus, honey, pear and quince followed by a smooth velvety finish with fine tannins. The wine is aged for 12 months in 50% new French oak.
2010 Erba Cabernet Sauvignon
The 2010 Erba Cabernet Sauvignon is composed of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7.5% Merlot, 3.5% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot. Aromas of cassis, black fruits, earth and bay leaf emanate from the glass followed by flavor of blackberry, blueberry, with some spice following through with a smooth tannin finish with subtle smoky vanilla oak tannins. The wine is aged for 22 months in 95% new French oak.
2010 Erba Proprietary Red Wine
The 2010 Erba Proprietary Red Wine is composed of 62.3% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32.5% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 1.2% Petit Verdot. This wine is a more traditional Bordeaux blend capturing the elegance of the vineyard. It has aromas of black and red fruits with volcanic ash followed by flavors of mostly blueberry and blackberry with some fed fruit notes followed by subtle smooth vanilla oak tannins. The wine is aged 22 months in 80% new French oak.
2010 Erba Mountain Cuvee
The 2010 Erba Mountain Cuvee is composed of 50.3% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36.5% Merlot, 7% Petit Verdot and 6.2% Cabernet Franc. It is a selection of certain grapes from the Erba Estate Vineyard which displays a more fruit driven wine with depth provided by the fairly high percentage of Petit Verdot. The wine is aged for 22 months in 70% new French oak.
